Code of Practice
Duty to Learning Participants:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will deliver training that produces outcomes as advertised to prospective participants.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will monitor the participant's progress to ensure maintenance of an acceptable rate of learning.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will periodically review the participant's progress to ascertain the level of the participant's satisfaction with their skill uptake.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will provide proper coaching to all participants to assist with satisfactory performance levels to Australian standards of education and learning.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will provide access to qualified coaches to assist all participants with social and cultural issues.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will, at all times, assist participants to understand the Australian Way of Life in order to promote better Inter-cultural understanding and also encourage participants to assist Australians in understanding the participant's own cultural differences.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will always maximise, not only the learning process for the participant, but also the social and cultural experiences so that the participant leaves with an improved understanding and appreciation of the value of Australia as a Nation.
 
 
Standards:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will maintain a professional and enjoyable learning environment that, at all times, assists the participant in attaining agreed learning outcomes.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will develop and maintain the teaching capacity to deliver its advertised courses such that participant success is maximised.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will ensure that ALL its facilitators are adequately skilled and accredited.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will provide an excellent learning environment and facilities.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will use teaching methods, materials and technologies that are best appropriate to the learning outcomes.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will continue to research and access the latest teaching and educational technologies.
 
 

Facilitator Standards:

 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING facilitators are supported in improving their knowledge of their specialist subject-matter.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING facilitators are encouraged to develop non-core skills.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING facilitators are required to be culturally sensitive and to respect the cultural differences of participants.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING facilitators are required to understand the total objective of the participant's investment in learning and to assist the participant in attaining those objectives as much as feasible.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING facilitators must strive continually to improve their skills and keep their knowledge up-to-date.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING team members must bring due care and diligence to bear upon the discharge of their duties to participants.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING team members will have personal values that are aligned to the values and philosophy of Lifelong Learning.
 
 

Educational Facilities:

 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING materials and learning technologies are to be maintained to the highest standards possible.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING facilities must, at all times, reflect the highest professional standards.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will endeavour to use facilities that allow access for wheelchair disabled persons.
 
 
Marketing Standards:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING marketing will be truthful and accurate.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will always market its services and products in the most professional manner and with total integrity.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will always respect the learning industry in which it operates and will not denigrate other providers or draw false and misleading comparisons.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will always provide full and truthful information to applicants regarding all LIFELONG LEARNING charges to be incurred in attending LIFELONG LEARNING courses.
 
 
Public Interest:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will always safeguard the interests of clients provided they do not conflict with the duties and loyalty to the Australian community, its laws and social and political institutions.
 
 
Integrity:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will endeavour to provide a discrimination free work environment and to take all reasonable steps and precautions to prevent incidents of discrimination or harassment occurring.
 
The LIFELONG LEARNING crew must refrain from actions, behaviours or comments in their professional role as training providers which may tarnish the reputation of the Australian Training Industry or unjustifiably detract from the good name of the Industry.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING will strive at all times to improve the image and reputation of the Australian Education Industry especially with respect to non-Australian clients.
 
 
Confidentiality:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING must not disclose information acquired in the course of its work except where consent has been obtained or where there is a legal or professional duty to disclose.
 
LIFELONG LEARNING must not use such information for its personal advantage or that of a third party.

Refund Policy:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING provides a fair and equitable refund policy for the refund of fees when courses are cancelled or discontinued or when participants withdraw consistent with the LIFELONG LEARNING cancellation policy.

Grievance Practice:
 
 
LIFELONG LEARNING provides all participants with access to formal appeal mechanisms covering:
  • Enrolment procedures and placements
  • Workplace assessments
  • Other grievances
