Yep, I hear you Jim. It astounds me that something so simple seems really difficult for many. Perhaps we should build a workshop called leadership 1+1 ... which would be leadership with two simple words thank plus you, so leadership thank you and insist every person in any type of leadership role partake and learn the basics? Perhaps you could print the thank you story and pin it on walls for all to see - you never know - you might start a thank you movement - that can only be good?

And thank you for your kind comments about having more me's in the world. Di

Di,
I couldn't agree more.It costs nothing, takes no physical effort and it makes all parties feel valued and appreciated and as you said 'who doesn't want to feel this'
Unfortunately many of our senior management don't seem to appreciate how simple it is to say 'Thank you' and the benefits that come with it.
Begrudgingly handing out a stubby holder,pen,T-shirt with no thank you attached is apparently the way we do things and supposed to inspire loyalty, how sad!
We need more Di Grangers' in this world to break through the barriers and get this message across to the people who need to hear it and act on it.
Thank you Di
