Leadership Development Workshops

Managing and Implementing Change

Duration: 1 day

"Perhaps the only person who likes change is a wet baby." Anon

Change is nothing new to leaders, or their teams. We understand by now that organisations cannot be just endlessly "managed," replicating yesterday's practices to achieve success. Business conditions change and yesterday's assumptions and practices no longer work. There must be innovation, and innovation means change.  For change to be successful it needs to be addressed at three (3) levels: (1) the individual (2) the team and (3) the larger system.  This workshop introduces you to this thinking.

Course Objectives:
  • Participate in planning the introduction of change
  • Develop creative and flexible approaches and solutions
  • Create strategies for the three (3) aspects of change
  • Manage emerging challenges and opportunities

Content:
  • Dr Seuss: 'Oh the places you'll go'
  • Who Moved My Cheese
  • Planning for the introduction of change
  • The forces of change
  • How to develop creative and flexible approaches to the introduction of change
  • Managing emerging challenges and opportunities

This workshop aligns to the Change & Innovation unit of competency within the Frontline Management qualifications.

Note: There is an opportunity to include some additional content and activities using MBTIŽ Type Theory to help groups prepare for change.
