Grow into the leader you want to be through this exciting series of Leadership Workshops!

Each workshop is scheduled once a month, leading to the
Nationally recognised qualifications:

Certificate III in Business (Frontline Management) Enrol Now

Requires 6 units: 4 of the 5 specialist* units (must include Safety)
and 2 others. Full program fee: $2900/person.

Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) Enrol Now

Requires 8 units: all 5 of the specialist* units and 3 others.
Full program fee: $3700/person.

Diploma of Business (Frontline Management) Enrol Now

Requires 11 units: all 5 of the specialist* units and 6 others.
Full program fee: $4700/person.

Step 1 - Introduction to the DLP Model & Competency Based Training & Assessment

This workshop walks you through the DLP Model in terms of exploring expectations for achievement of the qualification: skills recognition and assessment requirements whilst also introducing you to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)® Step II instrument as a tool for learning about self, the first step toward becoming an effective leader.

Step 2 - Manage Personal Work Priorities and Professional Development

Step 3 - Workplace Relationships

Workplace relationships rely heavily on emotional intelligence (EQ). This session looks at the role EQ plays in communication and interaction with others in the workplace, how we establish positive, trusting relationships with others, and what we can do to deal with difficult situations. Explores - What are the levels of trust within the organisation? How do the values of the organisation affect ethics and decision making?

Step 4 - Team Effectiveness

Frontline managers have an important facilitative role in the development and empowerment of work teams. This will be evident in the way frontline managers work with teams and individuals, work across teams, and the initiative they take in strengthening the links between teams and the organisation's management.

Open dialogue around team synergy? Is innovation accepted or rejected? Are innovators - troublemakers? What is the actual state of your team? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the team. Does the team perform? If so, why? If not, why not?.

Step 5 -Planning and Strategy

Planning is an essential activity for achieving results. Organisations rely on their members to carry out functions and tasks in a way that contributes to defined and desired outcomes. This session looks at the key aspects of managing the different resources of the business and how operational planning fits into the business plan.

Company values and how aligned to the strategic plan.

How does the strategic plan drill-down into the operational plan, team plan and personal plan (links back to FLM-01).

Frontline managers are important creators and managers of information. This session looks at developing knowledge and skills in identifying, acquiring, analysing and using appropriate information.

What systems does the organisation have in place for dissemination of information?

Are these systems REALLY there? How easy is it to access information?.

Participants present the findings of their group projects and undertake one-on-one coaching and de-briefing of 360-degree feedback results.

This session looks at ways to ensure that your organisation delivers products and services that exceed your customers’ expectations and explores the notion of unwritten ground rules (UGR's®).

Authentic dialogue around ‘what really happens around here’. Espoused values versus unwritten ground rules. Identify and list UGR’s within the organisation.

Frontline managers have a key role in ensuring that the workplace meets safety requirements set down in legislation, standards and the organisation’s policies and practices. This session is designed to develop knowledge and skills in effective occupational safety and health environment standards and legislation

What do we really know about the legislation? How does this reflect in our policies and procedures? Do we have a consistent approach to safety? What ‘sub-cultures’ exist within our safety culture? Is safety a culture or process within our organisation?.

This session introduces you to methods to identify areas for improvement and how to prioritise these improvement opportunities based on business needs.

What does this mean to our organisation? What processes (6 Sigma) do we have in place to aid in the CI process? How effective is this? Is CI a culture or process? What is the buy-in?.

This session covers change and innovation and introduces a range of tools for managing these processes in organisations. It takes a humorous look at change through 'Who moved my cheese' and reflects on self: how do I respond to change?

The illiterate of the 21st century are those that cannot learn, unlearn and relearn - Alvin Toffler. This session covers how to create an environment where individuals and teams will learn, for the benefit of the organisation.  What is the culture of this organisation in terms of learning? Are our managers - coaches?  Is there open, authentic dialogue within this organisation around feedback and developmental improvements? Do we seek out opportunities for learning and growth?
