The Developing Leaders Program

 

Step 1 - Introduction & MBTI™

Duration: 1 Day plus project work 

Course Descriptor


This session sets the scene for the rest of your leadership journey. It introduces you to the program and the requirement for assessment.
 
It asks you to reflect on why you are here; what you want to achieve as a result of participating in this program and sets some goals, personal and professional as milestones to ensure you achieve what you set out to achieve.

 

It then takes you on a journey of discovery using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)™ as a tool to better understand self

 

The Developing Leaders Program is underpinned by Transformational Leadership principles. 
 
Transformational leaders are often extraordinarily successful, simply because they have greater self-awareness and understanding of people and social systems than others do.

Transformational leaders:

  1. Know who they are, what they think, what they feel, what they value.
  2. Take responsibility for their part in creating the situations they face and size up situations and people accurately and quickly.
  3. Demonstrate emotional intelligence in influencing others to fulfill their finest potential while also contributing effectively to the team and larger goals of the organisation.
  4. Understand organisational systems and cultures, so they can engender needed change without undue resistance.
  5. Exhibit ease in creating new visions and making them into realities.

 

This session is a MUST for anyone wanting to grow into the leader they wish to be.  Throughout these sessions you will be given the tools and concepts to realise your ambitions.
