Course Descriptor

Learning is a vehicle that human beings can use to help them progress through life.  We all strive to gain more knowledge and to gain an edge with regard to our future job prospects.
 
In his book The Fifth Discipline, the art and practice of the learning organisation, Peter Senge says 'when we can destroy the illusion that the world is created of separate, unrelated forces - we can then build 'learning organisations', organisations where people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire, where new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is set free, and where people are continually learning how to learn together.'  This too, is the notion of lifelong learning!
 

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify learning needs
  • Create learning opportunities
  • Facilitate and promote learning through developing individuals and teams
  • Monitor, evaluate and improve learning effectiveness
