This workshop is designed for those facilitators who are required to assess competencies for the awarding of qualifications within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Usually those facilitators/assessors will be working within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or working within an organisation that is partnering with a RTO, to provide industry recognised qualifications. The RTO will be operating under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and is required to ensure that assessments conducted meet the principles of assessment and the rules of evidence.
Usually, the organisation will also be using Nationally Recognised industry Training Packages as the benchmark for all training and assessment. Attending this workshop will ensure you operate within the spirit of the AQTF and enable rigour in the process to provide nationally consistent outcomes.
This session is not for the faint hearted; you will NOT be assessing people making cups of coffee or tying shoelaces!
You will be exploring a sound, competency-based training and assessment framework, building rigorous assessment tools aligned to relevant competencies within your industry and creating knowledge of validation and validation practices to ensure rigour and consistent outcomes.
Please note: Environment is a pre-requisite for this workshop. All participants are required to have the knowledge and skills to unpack a relevant industry training package and units of competency. |
