Your reality may suggest that open, direct lines of communication is the the only way to go, but others (in their reality) may find that style too direct, therefore abrupt and even confronting! The learning here is to become aware of how we interact with others to achieve the best outcome we can, therefore learn to take responsibility for the role we play in each and every interaction / communication. A good starting point for this can be found in the work of Stephen Covey. He says "seek first to understand, then be understood." In other words, take time to understand situations from the other person's perspective; ask more, tell less; listen more, speak less! This approach is an excellent relationship builder! Give it a go. I am certain that we were all born with intuition and knowledge of self but somehow we have all lost that. I have been told that this year I must concentrate on Self-Restraint, tact and diplomacy......any suggestions? I dont believe that is part of "My Reality" but my boss'! One day when I am big I might make that my reality but not yet when life is so much fun. I would appreciate your thoughts on that some day soon.
