The Myers-Briggs Type IndicatorŪ is the most widely used instrument in the world as a foundation for understanding self and valuing differences. It is a tool that draws on the personality concepts of Carl Jung and is designed to aid in understanding our personality type in terms of the preferences we have around four key areas:
 
  • Energising - How a person is energised;
  • Attending - What a person pays attention to;
  • Deciding - How a person decides, and
  • Living - How we live or orientate ourselves in the world.

 

Step II is an advanced method of scoring the MBTI. It provides additional information about the ways individuals develop and use their MBTI preferences by reporting individual results on 20 component parts, or subscales, of the four basic type dimensions. A unique report is produced for each individual and no reports are alike.
